The Cottage

Side View Mol BanMol Bàn (shingle beach in Gaelic) is a large traditional Hebridean crofthouse by the shore overlooking Bagh Urgha Beag. Only a few minutes from Tarbert, the main town on Harris and on the road to the Isle of Scalpay, this beautiful self catering cottage sleeps up to six people and is an ideal base for families, friends or couples seeking a Hebridean adventure. 

The cottage sits in a quarter acre of landscaped garderns with a path from the front door which leads down to your own 'Mol Bàn', or shingle beach. The garden is full of secret nooks and crannies that will offer quiet seclusion for those who wish to admire the ocean views, or a place of adventure for thrill seeking children.

All bedrooms have sea views, you can watch the ferry and visiting yachts making thier way to Tarbert, this picturesque town is the main port on Harris.  Wonder at the play of light on the small offshore islands and distant hills.  If your lucky you can watch the otters and seals go about their business, all from your front door, or spot the many and varied bird species that either live, or like you, are visitors to Harris.

As a holiday base Mol Bàn is perfect as the islands of Scalpay, Harris, which is land bridged with Lewis and Great Bernera, are all accesible for you to explore at leisure.
